On September 22, 2020, The Oxy Campaign For Good Virtual Event Series presented Oxy Arts and the Arts in Los Angeles Immersive Semester, with Lisa Coscino '85 hosting Oxy Arts Director Meldia Yesayan and Professor Amy Lyford, who discussed their work with Oxy students and the Eagle Rock community, and how these new programs are enriching the Oxy experience.
Oxy Arts opened in 2019 on York Boulevard and is the community-based arts hub of Occidental College. The Arts in Los Angeles Immersive Semester is an interdisciplinary approach for first-year students, even while remote, to become actively involved in research on and the work of the arts in Los Angeles.
