Our second annual Day For Oxy on April 20, 2021 was another incredible success! Because of the outpouring of support from Oxy alumni, parents, students, staff, faculty, and friends from around the world, we far surpassed our goal of 2,021 gifts and raised 3,069 gifts for a total of $1,711,278!
Thank you to every supporter, challenge donor and volunteer advocate who contributed to this remarkable event.

"I am so grateful to Occidental for providing me such an incredible foundation and connecting me with lifelong friends and mentors. It's a very special place to me that has shaped much of what I am as a human and scientist."
“Without financial aid, I wouldn’t have been able to attend a school like Oxy. The Day for Oxy has a very personal connection to me. Oxy gave me the ability to make friends and create a community thousands of miles from home.”
“As parents of an Oxy student, we have seen Oxy working hard to foster a sense of community among students in these challenging times and despite the remote learning environment.”
“A few years ago, a Wall Street Journal article noted that Oxy's commitment to a diverse experience, accessible to a broader cross section of students, did not come free. I was proud to call myself a tiger, and took the opportunity to give back.”
“We, as parents, have been transformed and inspired by the Oxy community. We marvel at the strong sense of community on display and the tireless dedication of the school’s educators, alumni, and staff. We have both secretly confessed our fantasies to each other of being able to attend college all over again at Oxy.”
"Oxy continues to need our support as alumni whose lives were changed for the better by a special, high-caliber liberal arts education."
During the 2021 Day For Oxy, we encouraged all donors to give to the area of the College which had the most meaning to them. From scholarships to softball, or the Glee Club to the Geology Department, Tigers from around the world gave to academics, financial aid, athletics, and The Oxy Fund, which provides immediate and necessary funding for the entire College. We are grateful for all the gifts we received which supported each programmatic area below:
