With profound gratitude, Occidental acknowledges the philanthropy of our scholarship donors. The close to 390 endowed scholarships that have been established throughout the College’s history, in addition to the 60 annual scholarships that were created in 2019-20 alone, helped to provide 74 percent of Oxy students with some sort of financial assistance last year.

We are grateful to the many donors who have generously established endowed funds and/ or have given to the following endowed funds at Oxy. The list below reflects all endowed funds that have been established in the College’s history. Such gifts honor in perpetuity the legacy of the individuals, organizations and programs for whom they are named. They also provide an invaluable source of support for our students, faculty and staff and supplement our programming, resources and curriculum.

We are grateful for the support of our Ben Culley Society members listed below. The Ben Culley Society recognizes individuals who have included Occidental in their estate plans or who have a life income arrangement.

Occidental frequently receives significant gifts in honor of members of our community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, faculty emeriti and staff. Gifts were made during the 2019-2020 fiscal year to honor the individuals below.

The College often receives thoughtful gifts in memory of someone special. These meaningful gifts provide unrestricted support as well as funding for a broad range of opportunities, from scholarships and faculty enrichment to various learning experiences for our students. Memorial gifts were made on behalf of the following individuals during the 2019-2020 fiscal year.

Donors can choose to give to Occidental through a variety of planned gifts, including bequests in wills  and trusts, charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts, all of which provide individuals an opportunity to support the College beyond their lifetime.
