Weather, Health and Safety: The Piazza is a large covered, open-air space with a retractable glass roof that provides shelter from rain and precipitation, however the temperature in the Piazza reflects the outdoor temperature. While the California Academy of Sciences is no longer checking vaccination documentation at the door, we strongly strongly encourage all guests to be up-to-date with their vaccinations, including receiving a booster dose if eligible, and the Academy requires everyone to complete a health self-screening before entering the museum. As always, please stay home if you are feeling sick.

Museum and Parking: The California Academy of Sciences’ public spaces close at 5 p.m. The Music Concourse Garage is a secure, accessible, underground parking facility located near the Academy's main entrance. Garage rate on weekends: $6.25/hour. The garage will be open until midnight for this event. Garage entrances: Enter via the north at Fulton St./10th Ave. or the south at Music Concourse Dr./ MLK Dr. There is also free street parking throughout Golden Gate Park, although the park gets busy on weekends. Further information about getting to the California Academy of Sciences is available on their website.
