With profound gratitude, Occidental acknowledges the philanthropy of the many individuals, corporations, foundations, trusts and estates who support scholarships. The over 400 endowed scholarships that have been established throughout the College’s history, in addition to the nearly 50 annual scholarships that were created in 2021-22 alone, helped to provide over 75 percent of Oxy students with some sort of financial assistance last year.

Occidental consistently ranks as one of the country’s most economically diverse campuses; in 2021-22, the average financial aid package amounted to $43,453. Such scholarship support profoundly enhances our ability to provide our gifted and talented students with the means, opportunities and resources to become tomorrow’s leaders. Ensuring access to Oxy's innovative curriculum as well as dedicated faculty and staff has never been more important and we appreciate this critical investment in our ability to offer the Oxy experience to generations of students to come.
