We caught up as a class, toasted to 10 years gone by too fast, competed in some Oxy trivia, and danced the night away to some nostalgic music, all on Zoom!"

"I had always envisioned that our 25th year reunion would be a grand celebration: classmates from near and far would reunite yet once again and party all night. The pandemic had us readjust that vision. It was thrilling to see so many classmates from near and far reunited once again, albeit in a virtual setting. Time just flew by even though we were on Zoom. And I loved the fact that so many of us were reluctant to sign off after two hours. To me, it speaks to the strong bond that the Class of '96 has forged."

Remembering Douglass Weill '70
(1948 – 2021)
"To appreciate beauty and find beauty in others"
Doug found great satisfaction in helping others and participating in volunteer activities. He found beauty in relationships and giving of himself, with warmth, kindness and affection. He treasured close relationships with his childhood, high school and college friends. Doug served as the guiding force of the Class of 1970’s 50th Reunion and was determined to make this milestone reunion truly memorable. Doug initiated the creation of the questionnaire memory book, curated a Class of 1970 music playlist, served as the emcee for two 50th Reunion virtual programs and authored the Class of 1970 profile. To know Doug was to know his deep love for Oxy. Doug will be greatly missed by his fellow Oxy Tigers.
