Stories of Giving
I am deeply interested in, and concerned with, the need to attract the best and brightest students, and I wanted to do something to provide incentives for the best students to come to Oxy.
It's nice to be connected with people and it feels good to be part of many different things. I want to help Oxy students who need it.
If we want Occidental to continue to remain competitive and respected as a top liberal arts school, it’s crucial that we have the funds to allow the campus to grow, develop, and change with the times.
I feel an immense gratitude for not just what I learned in the classroom, but for learning how to navigate the world with a more critical lens rather than just an ‘it is what it is’ attitude.
By modeling a community-centered approach to arts education—and art making—we hope that Oxy Arts and its partners will be regarded as accepting and accessible spaces that increase exposure to and participation in the arts for all community members.
If we can make Oxy students and graduates key participants in improving people’s lives, that’s a proud legacy for the College.
